Grandma's treasures #005
2025
Wool, sheep's wool, mending wool, 100% New Zealand wool, buttons, curtain ring, wood
21x16x6 cm
This series assembles fragments inspired by the forgotten contents of a grandmother’s sewing box. Saved buttons are layered together like small paintings, while leftover mending wool is wrapped around preserved curtain rings. These elements form soft sculptural compositions in which overlooked materials rediscover their purpose.
Each piece emerges as part of a small family; related yet distinct. Through these small assemblies, the works reflect on care, repair, and the circulation of materials across generations.
