Discarded textiles, PLA
Dimensions vary
My graduation project explores ways of giving discarded clothing a new life. In the past, worn cotton rags were collected by rag pickers and recycled into paper. Today, most clothing is made from synthetic fibers, making this process nearly impossible.
Inspired by traditional papermaking, I experimented with techniques that combine shredded textiles with natural additives to create a stronger material. Through this process, materials once considered useless are transformed into something new and usable.
